Have you heard of people having an emotional release during a massage or similar type of therapy? It is fairly common.
A lot of times our emotions about an event can get trapped in our body. Over time, those emotions, which are trapped energy, can cause all sorts of problem, including pain and other more serious conditions. The easiest way to treat them is to release them.
There are a lot of different releasing techniques.
Myofascial Release and Myofascial Unwinding
The first one that I was introduced to was myofascial release and myofascial unwinding. The theory here is that our cells have memory and the energy from traumatic events can get stored in the body, cause fascial adhesions and other distortions in the body that need to be worked out.
I have seen it to be very effective with people. The downside is that it can take a lot of time to get rid of the problems, you can’t do it on yourself, and it can be very expensive to find a practitioner. To learn how to do myofascial release yourself is going to cost your several hundred dollars to attend the seminars.
Emotional Freedom Techniques
The next one that I learned about was Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or Tapping. This can be a very powerful releasing method because you can do it on yourself where ever you happen to be at the time that you need it. EFT is pretty simple to do and you can learn it well enough from reading a book and/or watching a few videos. Basically, you acknowledge and accept your negative emotion and talk your way into a more positive feeling. During the entire session you are tapping on various points on your body’s meridian system.
I know that sounds pretty simplistic and it really is much more powerful than my description makes it. The best EFT practitioner that I have heard is Carol Look and I learned about her through Bob Doyle. She is Bob’s go-to person for EFT. If EFT is something that you might be interested in, the best way to learn it is from Carol’s book – Attracting Abundance with EFT.
The only real downside to EFT is figuring out what to say during the process. How do you identify your feeling and talk your way through into a more positive one. I think people make this harder than it really is. Carol teaches you what to say in her book and then you can adjust it a little bit for your particular circumstances.
Most recently I have started playing with the Emotion Code, a process that was created by Dr. Bradley Nelson.
Like EFT, it is easy to learn, you can learn it well enough to work on yourself by just reading the book, and you can do it on yourself just about anywhere. What I like about the Emotion Code over EFT is that you don’t have to know what the trapped emotion is beforehand and you don’t have to come up with some script. All you need is to know how to muscle test, you need the process and the emotion chart from the book, and you need a magnet.
Muscle testing is easy and I show you how to perform it on yourself in this video.
Next is the process itself and the chart of emotions. That can all be found in The Emotion Code book. Finally, Dr. Nelson says that you can use any magnet but he recommends either the Magboy or the MagCreator that you can find here.
I have been using the Emotion Code daily on myself and have successfully released my heart wall. Now I am working on releasing heart walls from my wife and daughter. You can also find out more about The Emotion Code at their website.
Those are the three releasing techniques that I am the most familiar with. I hope that one of them will work just as well for you.
