I have recently posted about the health benefits of massage so now I want to expand on that and talk about magnetic massage.
First you have to understand that magnets do affect the body because the body generates its own magnetic fields and they change each other when they interact. This is the basis behind all forms of energy healing.
For the Massage Client
Magnetic massage has great benefits for your client, especially when they want something like neuromuscular massage. If you’ve experienced a neuromuscular therapist work on a trigger point then you know that it hurts. I remember when my wife came home from her first night of massage school and drove me to the floor by hitting a trigger point in my shoulder. It can hurt a lot. A magnetic massage can relieve the trigger point without the pain. If you client feels pain then they tense up, which reduces the effectiveness of the massage.
There is another way to see the effectiveness of magnetic massage. During a massage you are increasing blood flow just beneath the skin and the easiest place to see that is on the back where it causes their skin to turn pink. If you use a magnetic roller you can very quickly get the same result.
For the Massage Therapist
The therapist also gets a benefit from using magnetic massage tools. When applying pressure to a trigger point the therapist increases the chances of injuring their thumb. Since just rolling a good magnet over the trigger point can release it, the therapist doesn’t have to risk hurting herself.
Magnetic massage tools are also great for self-massage because the tool does most of the work.
Please leave me a comment below if you have any thoughts on magnetic massage or would like to know more about magnetic massage tools. I would also appreciate it if you would share this with your followers on the social sites.

I am looking to buy a magnetic foot massager as i do a lot of running.
What would you say the greatest benefits are as far as the magnets?
I do have an older style regular foot roller massager which i still like.
The greatest benefits are relaxation. When the muscles in your feet are tight they can pull the rest of your body out of alignment, creating tension and discomfort throughout your body. Quality magnets can help your muscles to relax.
Some electromagnetic waves or radiation is harmful to human tissue. X rays and Gamma waves strongly ionize tissue. Ultraviolet band may cause injury. Microwaves and radar bands, although no ionizing, can cause burns and affect tissue.
Thanks for great information!
I did not realize that simple magnets have healing power so this was an educational post for me. As you explain it, releasing a trigger point, it makes some sense. Fascinating idea and you should continue posting magnets effects upon the body as most people would be interested.
Thanks for the comment Wade, and for your interest in reading more posts about magnets. My wife and I are both massage therapists and we use magnets a lot, on our clients when we can (facility rules) and at home. We have small kids who have never heard of aspirin. When something hurts they ask for a magnet.
I have another blog at http://www.getmywellness.com/blog where I put most of my magnet content because it is product specific, which I don’t want to do much of here. Feel free to check it out if you like. I will put more non-product information here as I am inspired.
