Have you seen The Secret and read about the Law of Attraction but had limited success? Sounds like a sales pitch, doesn’t it? Don’t worry, it’s not. I had the opportunity to attend Mike Dooley’s World Tour III seminar on Playing the Matrix last weekend and I wanted to share something I learned.

In case you don’t know who Mike Dooley is, he’s one of the teachers from The Secret. You would probably remember him the best from the part about visualization. He was the guy talking about visualization through the segment with the guy pretending to be driving a new car while sitting in his recliner. He’s also the guy who said “Thoughts Become Things.” I believe he has trademarked that phrase actually.

So, he shared the big secret about how to actually use the Law of Attraction successfully, and that is to keep it general. Happiness is the best thing to want to attract because your true happiness includes everything else that you really want.

The more general you keep your desires the more likely you are to succeed in attracting them. The way Mike puts it, if you keep the things you want to attract general in nature then the more ways the Universe has to bring them in to your life. When you get right down to it and you analyze the reasons that you want to attract a specific something into you life, it probably comes back to happiness, or something equally general.

Mike Dooley said that the details are great for visualizing, for when you paint the pictures of your success in your mind, but don’t get attached to those details. The details help you to create the emotion necessary to hurry them along, just stay open for them to appear however they appear. If happiness is what you really want, then you leave it open for the Universe to suprise you.

I highly recommend that you see Mike Dooley live on his World Tour if you can. I’ve seen a few of the other teachers from The Secret and Mike is the best so far. You should also sign up to receive his Notes From the Universe, a daily dose of his inspirational humor in your email every morning to start your day off right. You can find both at www.tut.com.

If you’ve seen Mike Dooley or get his Notes already, let me know what you get out of it. Write a comment below and then share this post out to your followers on the social networks using the buttons below or at the top of this post.
